Commercial Driver Positions
Western Pilot Service is always accepting resumes for CDL holders, whether job positions are available or not.
Prospective drivers must have a current CDL with Hazardous Materials Endorsement and background check. Class A drivers preferred, but not necessary. The driver position is a dual responsibility:
* Driving a truck and trailer with aircraft fuel* Mixing plant, as well as mixing, fueling, and aiding the pilot in support of the aircraft for fire assignments.

Driving positions are out-of-town/state assignments, with an hourly wage (based upon experience and D.O.L). Per-diem is also issued to drivers when they are away from their homes. Overtime is paid at time and a half, 401K, and many extra perquisites are available.
All ground support personnel working for Western Pilot Service are full time Arizona seasonal employees who are required to work up to 40 hours a week while on contract; any overtime will be at the company’s stipulation. Employees are not guaranteed any time or overtime during any part of the fire season, employees will be paid for their actual time when working for Western Pilot Service. Employees may be required to work six days on and one day off during the fire season. Each driver will comply with all local, state and federal rules and regulations.
